Jess is a Florida native. She is a self-proclaimed wild child with a gypsy soul. She was born and raised on the east coast of Florida but is currently living in the Tampa Bay area. She works full time as a Registered Trauma Nurse. Her dad got her hooked on fishing as a young child and she has been addicted ever since. Right out of high school she moved to a tiny island in the Bahamas where she worked as a camp counselor at a Bahamian summer camp. She spent her days on the water teaching campers how to fish, snorkel, cliff dive and enjoy the Bahamian life style. After a year in the Bahamas she moved back to FL to pursue her dream as a registered nurse. Her first passion was fresh water fishing for largemouth bass but in the last 15 years she has grown to prefer saltwater fishing. She especially loves fishing the flats for Snook and Redfish. When she isn’t in Tampa fishing the flats you can find her once a month in the Florida Keys. She fishing anywhere from Islamorada to as far south as Key West. Another hobby Jess has is bowfishing, if she’s not somewhere bending a rod you will find her slinging arrows in rivers all over Florida.
